World

All the tools needed to create a World are in the toolbar at the top of the window.

Drawing Agents in your World

After you create an Agent, you can place the Agent into your world. There are four tools to help you design the world you want; the Cursor Tool, the Pencil Tool, the Multi-Agent Insert Tool, and the Erase Tool.

Cursor Tool

The Cursor Tool is used to select agents. If you select an Agent, you can see the debugging tool (conversational programming®), or you can do other things like see Agent Attributes.

With the Cursor Tool, you can also drag an Agent to a new position in the world.

Pencil Tool

The Pencil Tool draws Agents into your world.

To draw an Agent in your world, select an Agent in the Agent Gallery. Then make sure the Pencil Tool is selected and click on the level to add an Agent.

Multi Agent Insert Tool

The Multi-Agent Insert Tool allows you to insert multiple Agents at once.

To insert multiple Agents, select an Agent in the Agent Gallery. Make sure the Multi-Agent Insert Tool is selected and drag and click in the level to add Agents.

Erase Tool

The Erase Tool allows you to delete agents in your world.

To Erase an Agent in your world, select the Erase Tool and click on Agents you wish to delete.

Run Game/Simulation

If you want to run the game/simulation, press the start button (green play button).

If you want to stop the game/simulation, press the stop button (red square button).

If you want to run one game/simulation cycle, press the step button (grey button).

Before you start your game/simulation we advise that you save your world first. That way you may reset the level to its original position.

Camera Navigation

The Camera Navigation tools are used to look at the world by rotating, panning, and zooming into the world. The Camera Navigation tools are important if you have a 3D complex world. It will allow you to see your agents from different angles.

One of the most important things the Camera Navigation tools are used for is setting up First Person.

Rotate

The Rotate Tool allows you to rotate the world.

To rotate the world make sure you selected the Rotate Tool and then click and drag to rotate the world.

Pan

The Pan Tool allows you to "fly" through the world.

To pan make sure you selected the Pan Tool and then click and drag to pan through the world.

Zoom

The Zoom Tool allows you zoom in or out of the world.

To zoom make sure you selected the Zoom Tool and then click and drag to zoom in or out of the world.

Save/Reload World

Saving your world save all agents in your level. Saving your world also saves the current Camera position.

Reloading reloads all the agents in their original position and sets the Camera to the position of your last save.
